Bruce Shultz has been involved with the Oil and Gas Industry in Canada and Internationally for over 35 years. He graduated from University of Waterloo with an Honours BSc in Earth Sciences in 1979. After several years in Mineral Exploration, Bruce came to Calgary as a Petroleum Geologist with Gulf Canada Resources. Bruce has held various technical and management positions with large and medium sized oil and gas producers. In 1997 Bruce struck out to start his own private exploration Company; Rubicon Energy Corporation. Rubicon was sold to a publicly traded company in 2003; after which Bruce started a second private exploration company, Huron Energy Corp. That company was successfully sold in 2012 to another publically traded oil and gas producer.
Bruce is currently President and Chief Executive Officer of Huron Resources Corp. Huron is a private, exploration focused Oil and Gas Company, active in Alberta and N.E.B.C. portions of the Western Canadian Sedimentary Basin.
Bruce has volunteered for many non-profit organizations over the years. Including the Canadian Society of Petroleum Geologists; Canadian Association of Petroleum Producers; the Calgary 88 Winter Olympic Organizing Committee and most recently as a Board Member with Glenbow Art Museum.
Bruce has three daughters and two grandchildren. All live in Calgary.
