Breaking Barriers to Mental Health Support: ARBI at Community Connect YYC’s Panel & Networking Event

April 18, 2025 > News

In March, ARBI joined 15 other local organizations known as “Inventory Partners” for a lively and inspiring Community Connect YYC Mental Health Panel and Networking Event. These partners all share one goal: making mental health support more accessible for Calgarians.

The event featured a powerful panel discussion and Q&A session where service providers shared what it’s like to offer mental health services through Community Connect YYC (CCYYC). Attendees heard first-hand about the benefits of referring clients within the network, the importance of collaboration, and key mental health trends emerging in our city.

The gathering took place as part of Community Connect YYC’s ongoing efforts to foster collaboration, break down barriers, and strengthen supports for our community.

Accessing mental health care can be overwhelming long waitlists, complicated referral processes, and cost concerns often stand in the way. With leadership from Kindred and support from The City of Calgary, CCYYC is a group of dedicated local agencies, including ARBI, working together to make it easier for Calgarians to get the help they need when they need it.

Through an easy-to-use, 24/7 online booking tool, community members can directly schedule counselling or other support services from any CCYYC partner, including ARBI. Many options are available within a week, both virtually and in person, making help more accessible than ever.

ARBI is proud to be part of this network offering brain injury survivors and their caregivers a faster, simpler way to get the care and connection they need. As the network grows, so does the vision: a one-stop-shop for affordable, timely, and inclusive mental health support for everyone in Calgary.
