ARBI Membership
When you become a member of ARBI, you become part of a dedicated community that champions recovery for brain injury survivors. Your membership strengthens our association, fosters meaningful connection and strengthens ARBI's advocacy role to raise awareness for the needs and gaps in supporting lifelong recovery. As a member, you:

Advance Advocacy: Amplify our voice for systemic change and raise awareness for brain injury recovery.
As a nonprofit organization registered under the Alberta Societies Act, anyone over the age of 18 is eligible to be a member. ARBI offers two annual membership types, both hold voting rights at the Annual General Meeting:
Individual Membership (one vote): $25
Family Membership (two votes): $40
Partnerships
ARBI is part of a number of partnerships with organizations that support individuals recovering from a stroke or other brain injury.
The Alberta Brain Injury Initiative (ABII) helps adults with acquired brain injury to live, work and participate in their communities. ABII is a network of agencies that assist survivors and their families in accessing supports from various programs and community resources across the province. These agencies act as service coordinators who:
provide information about brain injury and the supports and services that are available
assess an individual’s needs
work with survivors, their families and community service providers to develop service plans and service agreements as needed
make referrals, where appropriate, for community supports and independent living skills development
assist survivors and their families to identify, apply for and coordinate benefits and services
